Not everyone thinks of Asterix when they see it but once it's brought up you can't get rid of the mental image so I got ahead of things. The original inspiration was the photo titled Mercure by french duo Pierre et Gilles, I thought a helmet didn't make sense on a deity and ornamental feathers could grow according to their desire.
The structure is a padded metal diadem covered in light grey wool felt. The feathers are grey goose with blue dyed accents, stitched and glued. Solid and light. it can fit any head size.
