Golden Feather Headpiece. Made for a 23 1/2in circumference head but a big hairdo will keep it in place. The structure is made of cotton canvas boned with stainless steel wire, wrapped n wool felt and lined with golden silk. The feathers are gray goose, painted with gold pigment, stitched and glued. The piece is light but solid and I sprayed ut with clear lacquer to keep the pigment in place. You can clean dust particles off it with an extremely soft brush. Do not let it get wet or rained on.
Contrary to popular belief or assumption I wasn't thinking of any roman emperors when I came up with it. The inspiration came from the painting Napoléon Bonaparte en robes impériales by François Baron Gérard and Cancer Deathmask from the Zodiac Gold Saints.
